We’re THAT Halloween House in the Neighborhood (And We Have No Regrets)
DIY Halloween decorations, resurrected skeletons, and the questionable decisions that turned our front lawn into a neighborhood attraction. Some people decorate for Halloween with a few pumpkins, a festive wreath, and maybe a cute little ghost on the porch… And then there’s us. We have a graveyard. Skeletons. Witches. Pirates. Disembodied body parts. A giant Pumpkin King who has survived more natural disasters than he reasonably should have. Oh, and Pennywise lives in our storm drain. We’re THAT Halloween house in the neighborhood. And honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way. How It All Started (And How We Completely Lost Control) When we first moved into our house, our…

Sunshine, Sideways Rain & Sideline Shenanigans: A Soccer Tournament Weekend
One weekend, two completely different weather systems, questionable refereeing, and enough muddy laundry to last a lifetime. There’s something about Columbus Day weekend that practically guarantees two things in our house: soccer tournaments and a weather forecast that cannot be trusted. Saturday? Beautiful. Sunshine, temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s, and the kind of fall weather that makes you think spending an entire weekend on a soccer field is actually a lovely idea. Sunday? Apparently Mother Nature took that personally. I’m talking sideways rain, muddy fields, freezing parents, and the kind of weather where you start questioning whether the umbrella you’re holding is providing protection or simply giving…

September Favorites, Spooky Season & Where I’ve Been
So… I missed last week’s post. I wish I could tell you it was because I was doing something exciting. Maybe taking a spontaneous fall weekend away. Perhaps reading by a fireplace in an oversized sweater while someone brought me coffee. No. It was migraines and exhaustion. Very glamorous. September was one of those months that somehow went by incredibly fast while also lasting approximately six years. Between getting back into the school routine, sports, work, commuting, everyone’s schedules and just general life, I feel like we spent most of the month trying to remember where everyone needed to be and at what time. And the constant weather and pressure…

When Your September Reset Needs a Reset
September was supposed to be my reset. Instead, chronic migraine, back-to-school schedules, work and sheer exhaustion had other plans. Sometimes keeping your head above water is enough.

The September Reset: Getting Back Into a Routine Without Pretending We Have It All Together
A realistic September reset for busy moms: getting the family back into school and sports routines, slowly decluttering the house, transitioning to cozy fall décor, reading instead of doom-scrolling, making time for self-care and learning to enjoy the chaos of this season of motherhood. ☕ Coffee encouraged. Perfection not required.

Back to School and Back to Chaos: How I’m Attempting to Keep Track of Everyone’s Everything
Two kids, two working parents, school, soccer, swimming, jiu-jitsu, Scouts, music—and approximately 9,000 notifications. Here’s how I’m attempting to keep track of everyone’s everything this school year without making my brain the family calendar.

School’s Back… Which Means Fall Sports Are Back Too!
Well, somehow summer is basically over. I’m not entirely sure how that happened, because I feel like school JUST ended, but here we are. Backpacks are packed, school supplies have been purchased (and will inevitably disappear within the first month), alarms are being set way too early again, and we are officially heading back into our regularly scheduled chaos. And in our house, back to school also means one very important thing: FALL SPORTS ARE BACK. If you have kids in sports, you know that “fall sports” does not simply mean dropping your child off at practice a couple of times a week. LOL. If only. It means practices. Games.…

My Work from Home Desk Setup
We’ve all seen the absolutely magnificent and beautiful home offices on Pinterest and Instagram. They are IMMACULATE. DIVINE. ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. AND I LOVE THEM! BUT, I would also be terrified to work in those spaces for fear of ruining them 😂; I much prefer a more realistic home office. (And again, nothing against the perfect home offices; if I didn’t have kids and a dog, or ADHD, or if I knew I could keep it perfect, I would 100% have it LOL.) On the very rare occasion I get to work remotely (my company hates remote work, but that’s another post for another day 🙄) I have a pretty nice…

Heading Back to Disney!
We are FINALLY heading back to Disney this month! We’ve had to cancel the last 2 years due to Covid, so we are so flipping excited to finally be able to go! It will definitely be a whole new experience now with Genie, Genie+, and Lightning Lane, so stay tuned for my future post on all of that, but in the meantime, I am planning on what will go in our park bag. Last time our boys were still in the toddler stage, so we had pull ups, wipes, extra clothes, and all the fun stuff that comes with having little boys. But other than the baby/toddler essentials and a…

Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Pizza Dough FTW
When we moved to the ‘burbs, I was so excited that there was a Trader Joe’s near us. We had one near our first apartment, but the parking lot was atrocious so we didn’t go nearly as often we’d like, even though we LOVED it. When we moved into our second apartment, there was no TJ near us, so naturally we missed it. Having moved into our forever home and being near one, I figured I would be there every week! If you would believe it, 5 years passed and I still hadn’t stepped foot into the TJ 🤦🏻♀️ FINALLY, a couple of weeks ago we went and ended up…
