DIY Natural Skincare
Oh my goodness. I have been on such a DIY and natural skincare kick! I LOVE it. I love being able to make my own stuff for a fraction of the cost, and actually know what is going on my body!
I started a couple of years ago by just using coconut oil as a makeup remover. I wasn’t happy with the makeup wipes or removers on the market, as they either felt too harsh or didn’t do anything at all, and they made my sensitive skin break out and flake up to no end! Once I started using coconut oil, I noticed a big difference in my skin and was quite pleased with the results. My skin was no longer dry, it looked and felt so much healthier, and bonus! My eyelashes got a bit longer.
But now I have expanded a bit to include even more natural products. After countless Pinterest recipes and tweaking I am so happy with what I use.
Face Mask – Indian Healing Clay & ACV
Bug Spray – Witch Hazel and essential oils
Exfoliating – coconut oil and sugar
Cleanser – ground almonds and lavendar (I made my own dupe of Lush’s “Angels on Bare Skin”)
Toner – Rose Water
Serum – I tweaked Immy Maryam’s Glow Serum and added Rosehip Oil (really good for under eyes) Her YouTube tutorial can be found here: https://youtu.be/lDPhq2enR-k
Tonight I will be making my own sunscreen! Nugget #1 has super sensitive skin so I’m hoping this one will work out for him.
If you have any DIY and/or natural skin care products that you love, let me know! I’d love to hear about them!
