Heading Back to Disney!
We are FINALLY heading back to Disney this month! We’ve had to cancel the last 2 years due to Covid, so we are so flipping excited to finally be able to go! It will definitely be a whole new experience now with Genie, Genie+, and Lightning Lane, so stay tuned for my future post on all of that, but in the meantime, I am planning on what will go in our park bag. Last time our boys were still in the toddler stage, so we had pull ups, wipes, extra clothes, and all the fun stuff that comes with having little boys. But other than the baby/toddler essentials and a stroller/stroller accessories, we’ll be bringing a lot of the same stuff:
((Some links may be affiliate links. I may get paid if you buy something or take an action after clicking one of these. ))
- Magic Bands/Tickets.
- Wallet. ID, cash, credit cards, etc.
- Water Bottles. We used these. They have a filter inside the bottle so you can fill up at any water fountain. We personally don’t like the taste of Florida tap water, so were happy to use these. You can also get free iced water at the parks.
- I think we’ll bring an extra set of shorts each for the boys.
- Bandaids and/or moleskin.
- Tylenol/Motrin.
- Hand sanitizer. We brought this even before Covid, because let’s be honest, theme parks are always gross .
- Sunscreen. DON’T FORGET TO REAPPLY.
- Sunglasses. It’s the sunshine state after all!
- Child Phone Number Tattoos. Always a good idea to slap these on the kids!
- Waterproof Phone Case. *Last time we used these. We won’t be bringing them this time since now most phones are water resistant. These are great if your phone isn’t and you want to take pictures on Splash Mountain or Kali River Rapids.
- Tissues.
- Portable Power Bank for your Phone. Amazon doesn’t have the one I bought on their site anymore, but here’s one that’s comparable. *TIP: put your phone on low battery mode. It’ll help conserve your battery even when you’re taking pictures and are on the Disney World App nonstop!
- Collapsible Straws. We personally didn’t mind the paper straws, so this one is up to you.
- Ponchos. We didn’t use them last time since we felt the rain was refreshing, but always good to have just in case.
- Snacks. We usually pack a juice box and 2-3 snacks per child per day. Helps keep the littles in check when they get cranky.
- Ziploc Bags. You NEVER know what you may need them for. Great to use as a makeshift waterproof phone case while on Splash Mountain or the Rapids. Perfect for soiled clothing, etc.
- Autograph Books. We got these for this year. *TIP: use clicky top markers – makes it easier for the characters to sign.
- Sanitary Items. You know why -_-
- Hats. Last time my boys didn’t want to keep theirs on. You know, after they made us buy them.
- Cooling Towels. Definitely helps on those hot and humid days!
- Fans. We got these this time. Florida gets hot in August!
- Wrist Leash. LISTEN. My first born asks for permission, my second born asks for forgiveness (rarely ) It is what it is and I know my child. I will no longer judge a parent who needs a leash for their child because Lord, I KNOW. HE IS AN INDEPENDENT SOUL who does not listen. So, we got these wrist leashes. These are good because he can still venture a couple of feet away and not get lost ((or stolen.))
New Items: - Face Masks. As of the time of this post, per the Disney website:
“Face coverings are optional for Guests in both outdoor and indoor locations, as well as Disney transportation. It is recommended Guests who are not fully vaccinated continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters and on enclosed transportation. Please note, face coverings are not permitted while experiencing water slides or in the water”
- Vaccine Cards. Never know if/when you’ll need it, and depends on whether you’re vaccinated or not.
And that’s pretty much it! If we add anything before we go, I’ll add to this list, but until then, I’ll be packing and getting ready!
