My Work from Home Desk Setup

We’ve all seen the absolutely magnificent and beautiful home offices on Pinterest and Instagram. They are IMMACULATE. DIVINE. ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. AND I LOVE THEM! BUT, I would also be terrified to work in those spaces for fear of ruining them 😂; I much prefer a more realistic home office. (And again, nothing against the perfect home offices; if I didn’t have kids and a dog, or ADHD, or if I knew I could keep it perfect, I would 100% have it LOL.) On the very rare occasion I get to work remotely (my company hates remote work, but that’s another post for another day 🙄) I have a pretty nice…

    Heading Back to Disney!

We are FINALLY heading back to Disney this month! We’ve had to cancel the last 2 years due to Covid, so we are so flipping excited to finally be able to go! It will definitely be a whole new experience now with Genie, Genie+, and Lightning Lane, so stay tuned for my future post on all of that, but in the meantime, I am planning on what will go in our park bag. Last time our boys were still in the toddler stage, so we had pull ups, wipes, extra clothes, and all the fun stuff that comes with having little boys. But other than the baby/toddler essentials and a…

Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Pizza Dough FTW

When we moved to the ‘burbs, I was so excited that there was a Trader Joe’s near us. We had one near our first apartment, but the parking lot was atrocious so we didn’t go nearly as often we’d like, even though we LOVED it. When we moved into our second apartment, there was no TJ near us, so naturally we missed it. Having moved into our forever home and being near one, I figured I would be there every week! If you would believe it, 5 years passed and I still hadn’t stepped foot into the TJ 🤦🏻‍♀️ FINALLY, a couple of weeks ago we went and ended up…

An Engagement Shoot by the Bay

So much excitement! My little sister-in-law got engaged a few months ago to a very awesome guy, and we are all so very happy for them! Since they are getting married in the fall, we decided to take their engagement photos in the fall as well, and since they got engaged in November, we had to rush to make sure we didn’t get naked trees LOL. They wanted to take their photos in beautiful Northport Harbor, and I think the photos came out gorgeous! But, I could be biased since I took them. ((Some links may be affiliate links. I may get paid if you buy something or take an…

Driving to the Most Magical Place on Earth

I will be honest. The drive from New York to Disney World is a looooong one. BUT! It was not bad at all considering we were with a toddler and preschooler. Even my hubs, who drove the whole way, said that while it was boring for him, it was not terrible. Before the trip, we kept reminding our littles that we are going to Disney, but that we will be in the car for a couple of days to get there.  Luckily, they are used to long drives, as we generally take about a 6 hour drive upstate every summer, but obviously this one was going to be a lot…

The Most Magical Place on Earth

IT IS TIME FOR MY DISNEY WORLD POST! Last year, we were lucky enough to take our boys to Disney for the first time! Everyone was pretty excited about it, but I think I was most excited lol. I have always loved Disney, but it’s safe to say that since going last year, I am OBSESSED. We drove from NY to FL for the trip, as I have difficulty flying due to medical reasons. And while many people would be like WHAT it really wasn’t that bad. My hubby drove the whole way (bless his heart) and the kids (2 & 4) were really good! But let’s be honest, it’s…

    This is Halloween…

I love Halloween. It is really the only time of year that I am ok with all things spooky and scary. I mean, I’ll still close my eyes during trailer and commercials for the really scary movies, but that’s OK lol. Anyway, I love to decorate the house and yard with spooky décor, and this year, we up’ed our yard decorations with a 9 foot(ish) Pumpkin King! Since buying our house, I have put up the standard graveyard and zombie, but this year I went all out (and just wait until you see what I have planned for next year!) We were originally going to put huge spiders on our…

    DIY Natural Skincare

Oh my goodness. I have been on such a DIY and natural skincare kick! I LOVE it. I love being able to make my own stuff for a fraction of the cost, and actually know what is going on my body! I started a couple of years ago by just using coconut oil as a makeup remover. I wasn’t happy with the makeup wipes or removers on the market, as they either felt too harsh or didn’t do anything at all, and they made my sensitive skin break out and flake up to no end! Once I started using coconut oil, I noticed a big difference in my skin and…
